Aeyre started to form an emotional connection with music through writing lyrics in high school. For a poetry assignment, Aeyre started taking lyrics of others and adapting them to tell her own story.

Music was never an easy route for Aeyre. She started music both tone and beat deaf. But no matter how many times she wanted to give up, her emotional connection with music always pulled her back to it. Many times, she was told by others that she wasn’t good enough musically, which made her want to give up. But each of these times, she would deal with her depression and self-doubt by writing lyrics, which drew her back into music.

She continues to try to improve by taking piano, voice and production lessons and finding other people who are willing to work with her to improve her music. With her self-made lyrics videos, she expresses the feelings of her songs visually as well as musically.

Aeyre believes that no matter how bad you are when you start something, if you want to learn it enough, you can. She is showing this by continuing to improve on both her vocals and lyrics videos.
